It may be Chris Brown’s birthday, but the singer, who turns 31 Tuesday, is turning the tables and gifting fans with new music.
Brown teamed up with rapper Young Thug to release a new mixtape titled “Slime & B.”
On Monday, the musician-turned-actor shared the track list to his Instagram stories, which featured 13 songs, but only 12 made it onto the mixtape by the next morning.
Young Thug, who is expected to release his second studio album, “Punk,” this year, also shared the news on his social media and said the mixtape was “something special” for fans amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Me and my brother @chrisbrownofficial did something special for you guys since this virus has everyone down.. Hope you like it lots,” Young Thug wrote on Instagram alongside art from the mixtape.
Both artists have been teasing the mixtape in the days leading up to its release.
“Slime & B” also features appearances by rapper Gunna and California Bay Area notables E-40 and Too $hort.
This is Brown’s latest music since his 2019 “Indigo” album, which also featured Gunna on one track.
The project’s release left fans on Twitter excited as they raved about the new mixtape.
“Slime & B is seriously heat, their chemistry is amazing,” wrote @DebatingHipHop_.
Some were amazed:
“Nah… the audacity Slime & B has to be THIS good. Like who would have thought Chris Brown and Young Thug would link up LIKE THIS?!” tweeted @TheVokality2.
One person even dubbed it “mixtape of the year.”

Brown recently made headlines for hosting a high-end backyard sale in November at his Los Angeles home. The “No Guidance” artist posted a flyer on his Instagram and Twitter accounts that included the address of his suburban mansion in the Tarzana neighborhood.
“Featuring significantly marked-down high-end items,” the flyer said.
Brown captioned the posts “DA CRIB … 2 day event” and included a heart emoji.
